July 3, 2024 Arrived at my motherโs farm for a visit. The landscape a balm. The inner landscape less optimistic. The words come in repetitive echoes of regret or tentative storying about mysterious figures and bleak recognition. July 4, 2022 My misery is recorded above after a 12-hour car-plane-train-train-bus-car trip that ended in Ontario humid… Continue reading A Visit To My Motherโs Farm

The Three Lives of Simone de Bรฉbรฉ
My 14-year-old Simone de Bรฉbรฉย wasย in her last stage of life. She hadnโt been eating much at all the past few weeks. I made the first appointment I could with the vet to have her euthanized in a few days, on Monday.ย But in the end, she declined precipitously and I couldn't wait. โจOver the recent days when my Simoneย de Bรฉbรฉ was gravely ill, I experienced an ever present underlying nausea, an existential exhaustion. Pandemonium Journal 3/12/22 โ the glass bowl

I feel such profound pleasure in experiencing this Ontario landscape. My return to Ontario is a homecoming. We recognize each other, Hans and I. Late in life, we think we know more than we knew then. Bookends in life. Today: Hans and I perform the present very well โa loving friendship with healed hearts this many years later.
Pandemic Journal 26-28/8/22 โ Blossoming at Bloom Holistic Retreat
This Bloom Holistic Retreat weekend yoga is splendid. Not only are the Octopus Holistic Yoga teachers superb, but the sumptuous setting and convivial fellow participants are thoroughly welcoming. We create a beautiful nourishing community of fellow travelers in just a few days. The retreat is a luxurious reward to myself after a year of heavy steroid and biologic medication to treat the sudden onset in the summer of 2021 of Giant Cell Arteritis, an auto-immune condition - now in remission.
