WHEN REPAIRING THE WORLD IS A TOUGH PROPOSITION, BE THANKFUL FOR MINOR DOMESTIC TRIUMPHS —
During COVID (with the help of several Youtube videos), I took apart my broken dishwasher and put the million pieces back together. It lasted several years.
Last night I hosted seven women for dinner and after stashing all the dirty dishes in my new dishwasher, error message 11 popped up and it ground to a halt.
This morning, I watched several Youtube videos and eliminated several troubleshooting options. With my tiny screwdriver, I fixed the dishwasher. I could have become a repair person. I am a repair person. I may have a glass of wine to celebrate.
Epilogue
The problem solved. I began to think my dishwasher was a lemon as I purchased it at a discount with a dent in a location that was hidden when installed. Perhaps the damage was more extensive? But no! The culprit was a pistachio half shell lodged days ago in the drainage hose. Over a few days it made its way to the Y junction of the sink drain. A spanner in the works.
My mother prepared me for this. My father abhorred repairing things and “was not handy.” So I do a bit of a electrical as well.
My faith in (almost) everything including the kitchen sink is restored.

Impressed with your skills, darling Janice. Adore the table setting, vibrant and rich. Keep going, girl. Just make sure you don’t load pesky creatures into your drainage pipes. Love youSent from my Galaxy
